California artist Barbara Kimmel-Palmer's work is primarily in watercolor and oil. She studied watercolors with Helen Reed and oil painting with Sandra Bergeron, Marilyn Bendell and Ted Goerschner. Her work was reproduced through Leanin’ Tree and in needlepoint reproduced through the Los Angeles Music Center. She spent years as an elementary school teacher who instilled a love of art in her students for many years.
This lovely work is well known; Best Friends is a portrait of a small boy and girl. The artist said of this work: "This image could be anybody's brother and sister. I love the reflections on the sidewalk"
